Lots to do at work today so not so much time for other things (the usual “quiz night” on BBC, which is nice).

I did manage to reach Eva on the phone, which appears to be something of a feat – she's so busy that she seems to be either not there at all, too tired and/or doing other important things, or talking with somebody on the other line. But it was great to catch up, to chat about this and that, and to make tentative plans for various things, all while preparing a pot of lentil daal that was supposed to be enough for today and tomorrow (according to the recipe which was for “4 people”) but seemed to be all gone later tonight, so we'll have something from the freezer tomorrow instead.

Apart from Only Connect and University Challenge – our two Monday night staples on the BBC – there is only politics on TV which I won't bore you with.
