Greenland to the Greenlanders!?

Now it's official: A Verian poll says that only 6% of Greenlanders would like their island to become part of the United States. 86% are opposed, and 9% are undecided.

The poll was commissioned by Sermitsiaq (a Greenland daily newspaper) and Berlingske (a Danish newspaper). It also showed that 45% of those polled view Trump's interest in Greenland as a threat, while 43% consider it an opportunity, and 13% are undecided. 8% of Greenlanders would give up their Danish citizenship in favour of a US passport, while 55% prefer to be Danish, and 37% apparently don't care either way. (Being Danish, of course includes perks like free healthcare and education, which tend to not be available to many Americans.)

Interestingly, the poll does not seem to have included a question on how many Greenlanders would like their country to be completely independent, i.e., neither part of Denmark nor the USA. The semi-autonomous status of Greenland includes the right for Greenlanders to hold a referendum on the issue of seceding from Denmark, and the result would be binding.
