Eva and Anselm, Weimar, March 2001

This is a slightly lop-sided self-portrait, taken on the evening of Sunday, 25 March 2001, using the Digital IXUS' self-timer. The camera was propped up on a convenient car roof on the other side of the street.

We're standing in front of the main entrance to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's residence on Frauenplan in Weimar, Thuringia. Both Eva and I are alumni of Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt (where the famous man was born), so this photograph was something of a »must«. - It's actually snowing a bit, which you can't see here, but soon after this picture was taken the weather turned positively abominable! We were glad to be on the road again (even if the driving was lousy) just to be able to sit in a well-heated car.
